HOW I CAME TO CREATE THE CIRCLE OF INTENTION
by Christina Lynn Whited
I was inspired by several factors when I created the Circle of Intention and I wanted to
share them with you.
One of the members of a Spiritual Center I attended asked the congregation to give 15
minutes per week in meditation for the Center. Fifteen minutes seemed easy to do, yet
by the time the week has passed, it had often been put aside. However, it was a
powerful community building idea.
My dear friend, the late Thom Klika, has also inspired me. I have known Thom for many
years and I cherish the friendship of he and his wife, Mary. Thom is the original
Rainbow Man. In the late 1960’s he quit his day job and began to paint rainbows as
pocket art. He painted little two inch squares, popped them in his pocket, then walked
around and gave them away to anyone he met. Over the years he brought smiles to
millions of people through his work. One person plus one rainbow equalled a
movement. Thom painted and gave away millions of rainbows in the course of his
lifetime, and brought love, hope, and cheer to many a heart.
I also learned about morphic resonance, the principle of the 100th Monkey. Morphic
resonance means that when a certain percentage of people hold something to be true,
it will move into the consciousness of everyone as something that is accepted,
something that is true. What a great way to create peace on earth!
So I thought, why not combine ideas from all of these wonderful people, as well as the
principles of morphic resonance, while furthering the healing of the planet and world
peace? The Circle of Intention affirmation was born. Pass it on!
Thom Klika painted
his Rainbows in big
sheets and then cut
them apart to give
away.
